About this show

Following a hugely critically acclaimed London run, legendary performance artist Bryony Kimmings (I’m a Phoenix, Bitch, Credible Likeable Superstar Role Model, Fake It Till You Make It ) returns to the Fringe. Bog Witch follows part of Kimmings’ real-life story, the journey of uprooting her and her son’s lives to live in a tumbledown cottage in the wilderness, to plug back into nature as a last-ditch attempt to be happy and sane. 'Haunting and hilarious... a climate reckoning of both cosmic and quotidian proportions – and a theatrical time capsule of the way we live now' (Guardian).

  • Watch out, Edinburgh, she’s back. And it’s time for the truth. Whether any of us want to hear it or not. Leave it to the absolute legend Bryony Kimmings to transform the terrifying spectre of ecological collapse into…

    Corr Blimey

  • Ditching her city roots for the countryside, Bryony Kimmings is at one with nature in this mesmerising and heartwarming call for climate consciousness.

The List (5 out of 5 stars)

  • What happens when we try to shed our desire for materialism? Is life in the countryside the answer to the certain impending doom of commercialism?
