About this show

A powerful contemporary reinterpretation inspired by the book, Journey to the West, this immersive performance follows an international student Wukong navigating the tension between parental love, expectations and personal freedom. Blending traditional shadow puppetry with digital technology, the work explores family bonds, identity, boundaries and coming-of-age across cultures.
