About this show

Returning to Fringe following sell-out 2023 debut and London transfer. Based on the life of Simon Wiesenthal, who survived the Holocaust and devoted the rest of his life to bringing Nazi war criminals to justice. Filled with hope, humanity and humour, it is the story of an ordinary man who did extraordinary things. Intelligent, flawed and noble, Wiesenthal's heroism is honoured in this play which takes place on his final working day in his Vienna office in 2003. By Tom Dugan, performed by Christopher C Gibbs, directed by Mark Liebert. 'Impeccably conceived' * (Scotsman). 'Immaculately constructed' * (BroadwayBaby.com).

  • This is an important story, but also an engaging piece of theatre. Well written, compellingly performed and a timely reminder that history is not enough unless we learn from it.

    one4review (5 out of 5 stars)

  • This one stopped us cold. Christopher C. Gibbs portrays Holocaust survivor and Nazi hunter Simon Wiesenthal, telling not only Wiesenthal’s story but those of people whose lives might otherwise disappear into…
