About this show
What does 'where do you come from?' really mean? Anglo-Indian singer-songwriter Glen Peters answers through powerful folk songs and stories of heritage, migration and belonging. After 50 years in Britain, Peters uses the folk idiom to shine a light on immigrants' often-unrecognised contribution to British life – from Noor Inayat Khan, the Sufi spy who died for Britain in WWII, to the Patels behind the corner shops. By turns funny and profound, these acclaimed songs come from an album hailed as the most significant folk release of 2025.
