About this show
A fish out of water finally gets her legs, only to discover the patriarchy is alive and well on dry land and... her sister is dead. Making her Edinburgh Fringe debut, Brooke uses insightful observational comedy and clever act-outs to explore faith, addiction, grief and the absurd. An ex-Mormon desperately seeking signs, meaning and a punchline. Funny. Heartfelt. Unapologetic.

Brooke Flint, the once Mormon, southern Californian, performer who was raised by her teen mum after her mum and dad divorced, makes her Fringe debut and is a fish out of water literally as she makes her own comparisons…
Brooke tells you straight away that The Landlady is a work in progress, and there’s an honesty to it that hooks you immediately. You trust her because she’s not pretending it’s finished.
