About this show
A group of young actors attempt to recreate Hitchcock’s classic thriller with minimal props, maximum speed and gloriously theatrical chaos. Expect quick-fire character changes, inventive staging and a runaway train of espionage, romance and mistaken identity. This Olivier Award-winning adaptation transforms John Buchan’s novel into a joyous spoof, where suspense collides with slapstick and imagination does all the heavy lifting. From shadowy spies to Highland chases and daring escapes, nothing goes quite to plan and that’s exactly the point. Slick, silly and relentlessly entertaining, this is physical comedy and storytelling at its most suspenseful.
