About this show
Tasmin Sarkany (BBC New Comedy Awards shortlist 2025, Musical Comedy Awards finalist 2023) plays Amelia Crotchet, a classical musician in a double act with her violin. This is the most important concert of her career. Unfortunately though, Amelia is easily distracted. Expect silliness, musical puns, historically questionable facts about Bach and (if she gets round to it) some beautiful classical music. 'Highly skilful... ingenious' (Chortle.co.uk). 'Captured the spirit of musical comedy' (BeyondTheJoke.co.uk). 'Proof you can still have a completely original (and slightly bonkers) idea' (FunnyWomen.com). Photo by Andy Hollingworth.

What do you get when you combine classical music with comedy – Now That’s What I Call Bach! With Tasmin Sarkany. There’s first to say: you don’t need to know about Bach or really classical music to enjoy this routine.

Have you truly experienced the Edinburgh Festival Fringe if you have not sheltered from a sudden Scottish downpour inside a converted shipping container while a classical musician stages an operatic claymation…
