About this show
Two nights before Christmas, an Edinburgh granny, her boyfriend, her son and her one-year-old grandson rob Smedley's of Stockbridge (a butcher's shop in a wealthy Edinburgh neighbourhood) of all its best cuts. The heist is on! Will they get caught, will Christmas be cancelled, will they be in prison before the King's speech? Or will they get away scot-free with the meat theft of the century? Previous reviews: 'Quentin Tarantino meets Irvine Welsh' (Scotsman). 'Phenomenal' (Stage). 'A firecracker of a show' (Herald). 'Utterly hilarious' (List). 'Fantastic, gripping and gritty' * (Edinburgh Evening News).

— Broadway Baby (3 out of 5 stars)
This comedy-drama is well written, finding its layers as texture and backstories are gradually revealed and the protagonists’ motivations ebb and flow.
— Rialto (3 out of 5 stars)
The overall effect is of a breezy, involving and gloriously local piece of theatre.
— All Edinburgh Theatre (4 out of 5 stars)
