About this show
The Church of the Sacred Heart of Jesus opened in 1860. The building is a relatively simple shape, but its interior is very striking – fourteen large paintings of the Stations of the Cross by the Bavarian artist Peter Rauth, all beautifully restored at the start of this century. In 2025 it gained magnificent new stained glass windows by Sarah Galloway, a contemporary artist renowned for her work in architectural glass. During these tours she will be talking about her work. Organised in conjunction with the National Churches Trust.
