About this show

2025 ISH Best Show nominee. Come and see a one-of-a-kind at this year's Fringe: a self-loathing middle class person telling jokes. After earning a number of positive reviews from audiences and critics alike in 2025, Ruaridh returns with a brand-new hour covering topics such as gentrification, middle-class pets, hair loss, religion in football and people called Maureen. 'The audience loved him' (One4Review.co.uk). 'Sharp writing and natural charisma' (Comedy.co.uk). (One4Review.co.uk, BroadwayBaby.com, TheRealChrisParkle.com).

What the reviewers said

We have captured 3 published reviews and 22 audience reviews for this show from the Edinburgh Festival Fringe’s own listing. The excerpts below are the reviewers’ words, not ours — follow each link for the full review.

  • Hailing from both working-class roots and socialist values, Ruaridh Miller’s Fringe sequel returns to declare war on classism. The only problem is that now he must come to terms with his newfound middle-class status.

    Broadway Baby

  • Autocorrect Thinks My Name is “Rubbish” is a sharp and thoroughly Scottish hour that finds plenty of comedy in class, identity and the strange rabbit hole that everyday life can lead you down.

Broadway World (4 out of 5 stars)

  • Miller’s presence and likability help of course, but there is also a new sense of positivity rather than rants, and a willingness to figure it out rather than sweat it. 4 Stars
