About this show
Two young girls flee their hometown drawn by the seductive promise of the Hollywood they imagine from the old classics they idolise. Embarking on a road trip for which they're ill-equipped, the American dream soon fractures as they encounter the dark underbelly of the sex industry and the fabric of their friendship starts to unravel. Tyler Marie-Evans’ stylish, melancholic and jaggedly beautiful debut feature is a compelling, female-centred portrait of vulnerability and disillusionment in a world of artifice. Featuring standout performances, a haunting soundtrack and a bold visual style, this film signals an exciting new voice in cinema.
