About this show

Will just got his first car at 33. There's nowhere to park it. When a private spot opens up on his Jersey City block, five neighbours make a silent calculation: whoever gets it gets the life they've been putting off. What follows is sabotage, catfishing and a traffic cone with the moral authority of the Geneva Convention. This sharp, warm musical comedy is about the gap between the life we're building and the one already in front of us... Set to an original score and staged on six feet of contested asphalt.

  • 3.5 Stars. A good-natured comedy with a likeable cast set in the traffic of Jersey City. Debuting at the Edinburgh Fringe, actor Lila K. Smith as Heather steals the show and kudos for the sprightly live keyboard.

    Fernyhough Arts Reveiw

  • 3.5 stars Parking Spot: The Musical! takes a wonderfully petty premise - five Jersey City neighbours scheming over one open parking space - and mines it for a lot of laughs.
