About this show

What happens when the high-flying corporate girlie finally snaps? Somewhere between a breakdown and a fever dream, Fiona finds herself face to face with an infuriating stranger who knows far too much about her and who, quite frankly, thinks she's a massive dick. With her reality scrutinised and her old wounds reopened, Fiona is forced to confront not only the person she's become, but her very idea of picture-perfect success. A sharp, funny and sincerely touching debut play about burnout, butterfly clips and what happens when the voice in your head stops cheering you on.

What the reviewers said

We have captured 3 published reviews and 15 audience reviews for this show from the Edinburgh Festival Fringe’s own listing. The excerpts below are the reviewers’ words, not ours — follow each link for the full review.

  • There’s a wonderful message running throughout this show: don’t lose your inner child. Hold on to your sense of wonder, remember the things that make you happy and, most importantly, don’t forget to have fun.

Theatreland Adventures (4 out of 5 stars)

  • The well-crafted script bounces the two characters off each other with plenty of humour.

Broadway Baby (3 out of 5 stars)

  • It’s an endearing mix of sweet darkness and bitter resentment, with a happy ending. Young and Archibald collaborate on a friendly, colloquial script that balances its tonal subtext exceptionally well.

Broadway World (4 out of 5 stars)
