About this show
Darryl J Carrington is a physical comedian and mostly non-verbal clown who loves messing around with objects, timing and visual gags. His last show, Out of the Box, won multiple awards with critics calling it utterly absorbing, charming and great fun. People loved how he connected with audiences using nothing but inventive physical comedy. Tennish starts as a tennis show but quickly goes off-court as Darryl discovers what he can do with tennis props – turning rackets, balls and towels into instruments, obstacles and punchlines. It's playful, chaotic, visual and all about ambition, performance, and failure.

The show is an oasis in the busyness of the Fringe. Head over to Out of the Box for plenty of laughs, minus the hysteria.

A brief show, even by Fringe standards, it does at least stick to the tennis theme throughout. With celebratory rock guitar riffs galore (a proverbial middle finger, maybe, to the ‘quiet, please’ umpires at Wimbledon),…
