What the reviewers said

We have captured 3 published reviews and 7 audience reviews for this show from the Edinburgh Festival Fringe’s own listing. The excerpts below are the reviewers’ words, not ours — follow each link for the full review.

  • Why is it called Rubicon? It isn’t anything to do with crossing a mythical river, that’s for sure. Bilal Zafar presents a varied and perhaps uneven hour, where he takes us through his career to date...

The Real Chrisparkle (3 out of 5 stars)

  • Bilal Zafar is mostly known for his genre-defying, format-breaking comedy. When he’s not working as an actor, he’s usually trying to figure out how to make audiences laugh in a way that makes it seem effortless.

Starburst Magazine (3 out of 5 stars)

  • 3.5 stars For those who want something more dynamic than a standard storytelling hour, Zafar’s blend of sharp satire and interactive games makes this one of the more engaging setups at the Underbelly this year.
