Undoubtedly the range of fiddle melodies collected for his songs, composed by contemporaries Niel Gow, William Marshall and others, offers an absorbing theme for the concert platform. Alastair, an award-winning fiddler with an extensive back catalogue of recordings and broadcasts, completes his Fringe journey this year exploring these classics alongside piano/accordion master Gregor Blamey.
