About this show

Edinburgh Fringe 2003's legendary classic 12 Angry Men returns, hilariously spoofed as 11½ very angry comedians attempt to decide the fate of a boy accused of heinous murder in 1950s NYC... Will a lethal German sausage save him? Or send him sizzling to Old Sparky? The jurors: Stephen K Amos, Joe Pasquale (Fringe debut!), Tom Stade, Spencer Jones, Mark Maier, Glenn Wool, JJ Whitehead, Ian Coppinger, Terry Alderton, Phil Nichol, David Calvitto and Owen O'Neill seek a unanimous verdict while the evidence against him stinks, but can they find their way to a conviction? Director: Guy Masterson.

What the reviewers said

We have captured 4 published reviews and 21 audience reviews for this show from the Edinburgh Festival Fringe’s own listing. The excerpts below are the reviewers’ words, not ours — follow each link for the full review.

  • Reginald Rose's Twelve Angry Men is still a powerful piece of theatre that toured the UK quite recently, and of course there is Sydney Lumet's great 1957 film version with Henry Fonda as Juror 8.

    British Theatre Guide

  • A version of the 1958 film '12 Angry Men' with a cast of comedians sounds like it might be one long gag-fest but this is actually a clever, witty and at times slightly surreal parody.

UK Theatre Web (4 out of 5 stars)

  • name suggests, features quite a few men. Twelve actually, but the ‘joke’ is that one of them is very diminutive, hence only counting as ‘half’.

Theatre Weekly (4 out of 5 stars)
